Curtze is truly a full line food service distributor. We offer a unique center of the plate program which includes fresh portion control aged meat in a custom cutting federally inspected meat facility, as well as a custom cut fresh seafood program. In addition to canned goods, frozen foods, paper products, chemicals, equipment, supplies, dairy and other staples, we offer temperature controlled fresh produce distribution. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has earned us a reputation as the “Food Service Distributor of Choice”. For over 140 years we have been committed to this goal and it has been a key element of our continued growth. Today, we proudly serve eight states.
What does a foodservice distributor do? Who do we sell too? It takes a team of professionals working everyday to provide the highest level of service that our customers count on. Take a look at this brief video as an introduction to the industry.
In 1878, Charles August Curtze opened his wholesale business, supplying food products and merchandise to general stores and a growing number of oil and lumber camps of the era. Change, progress and dedication to the needs of customers were the guiding principles of the C.A. Curtze Company in those days. That same philosophy has been carefully adhered to by the six generations that have followed.
From those humble beginnings - including gunpowder, barrels of flour, and the horse drawn wagon - the company has grown into a full line food service distributor that supplies over 12,000 items from four distribution centers, reaching an eight state area.
We service an eight state geographical area including Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Maryland. We offer next day delivery in all markets making your ordering process easy, and efficient while delivering you the freshest products available.
We have developed strong relationships with the most influential groups in the food service industry. Our partnerships benefit our customers through shared knowledge and resources, creating a community of people committed to your success!
