Our History

Over 140 years of service to our customers and the community.

Humble Beginnings

In 1878, Charles August Curtze opened his wholesale business, supplying food products and merchandise to general stores and a growing number of oil and lumber camps of the era. Change, progress and dedication to the needs of customers were the guiding principles of the C.A. Curtze Company in those days. That same philosophy has been carefully adhered to by the six generations that have followed.

Today

From those humble beginnings - including gunpowder, barrels of flour, and the horse drawn wagon - the company has grown into a full line food service distributor that supplies over 12,000 items from four distribution centers, reaching an eight state area.
